This is the game I'm attending tonight.

Both teams roll in with a 1-1 recordThis is a 6A (Lafayette) vs. 4A (LexCath) battleLexCath relies heavily on the passLafayette will run a more balanced attack (by the look of the stats some read option is likely to be employed

Lafayette nearly knocked off Scott Co. opening weekend and a lot of folks seem to believe the Generals should have won that game. They are really getting good play from sophomore quarterback Walker Wood. He's not throwing the ball a ton, but a sufficient amount. In his first varsity year under center he's still without an interception two games in. His No.1 receiver Lucky Jackson is a big help in that. He's doing most the heavy lifting in the receiving game. The proof is in the pudding -- 11 rec, 275 yards 5 TDs -- the next best statistical pass catcher only has three receptions. Word is Lexington Catholic will give Jackson a lot of attention. The offensive line is something this team takes pride in. They're huge up front and headlined by three-star Landon Young. On the defensive side of the ball the Generals look to be pretty efficient. Devon Quincy is leading the team in tackles and is very good in pass rush situations -- something surely needed in this one.

Lexington Catholic took a beating at the hands of Bowling Green last week. Three-star quarterback Reese Ryan is looking to bounce back from that dismal start where he threw two interceptions and no touchdowns through the air. Sophomore running back Jaylen Jones is one to keep an eye on. He ran for 181 yards on Bowling Green -- his first big breakout performance. The receiving numbers are a little spread out with Jordan Hatton getting the most catches and Joesph Ogbogu accumulating the most yardage.
