Hopkins Co Central lost 31st straight

They should give up football. To be that bad in a bad football state. . . just give it up.

Up until about 6 years ago they were respectable, since then a steady decline, something is wrong over there to big a school to be that bad in football, when they were a decent program a short while ago.

What is tough for Hopkins Central is that there just aren't that many comparable teams left in western KY. When Reidland and Heath closed and when Muhlenberg consolidated, that left a gaping hole for teams who needed to schedule opponents that they could actually compete with. Webster is in the same boat. We have a home and away set up with with Hart County because we need more teams that we can compete with year in and year out.

KHSAA doesn't list longest losing streak under their "team superlatives" category in the record books, but I think Ft. Knox was at something like 47 a few years back when they upset Bardstown. Not sure where that stacks up all-time.
