Allen County-Scottsville at Marion County--Tough one to pick. These two teams are swimming upstream right now. I usually go with the home team....Marion County.

Barren County at Warren Central--Barren had a couple of good weeks. This one isn't going to end so well. Dragons sing the fight song in the home stands.

Bowling Green vs McCallie School--Area Game of the Week. This is HUGE for BG's quest to surpass Trinity's 50 game win streak. Win this and it will take a major upset to thwart that dream. Losing Cam Wallace hurts but like last week it seems someone always steps up for the Purples. The support in Bowling Green for this team is tangible. The streak lives....

Butler County at Grayson County--These two seem evenly matched. I took BC for some reason.

Edmonson County vs Metcalfe County--Two 1-3 teams searching for something...anything. Wildcats?

Franklin-Simpson vs Battle Ground Academy--This is Homecoming Week at Franklin-Simpson. It's like little Mardi Gras. Floats, a parade, after school activities everyday, the Queen and her Court....in other words just what the visiting team wants, a distracted opponent. Not sure this young bunch can hold their focus.

Glasgow vs Somerset--Glasgow is not who we thought they were but they are better than the Jumpers.

Greenwood at Logan County--Gators continue to build on their 4th quarter improvement against FS and clobber the Cougars

South Warren vs Hart County--The Spartans scheduled pre-game show is Cupcake Wars. This week's special is Kale and Orange cupcakes with Orange icing. (Yes, those really exist.)

Warren East at Hopkinsville--The Tigers came unglued last week. I doubt all the pieces are back in place.

Russellville vs Todd County Central--Russellville hasn't faced murderer's row but they are winning. The two point win at Fort Campbell is concerning but not this week.

Frankin-Simpson vs Battle Ground--- Don't know much about either, I'm guessing Franklin gets the win
Glasgow vs Somerset--- Glasgow
Greenwood at Logan Co--- Greenwood by a bunch
SW vs Hart Co--- SW, they're tough
Warren East at Hopkinsville--- East
Russellville vs Todd Co--- Russellville don't slow down til Mayfield
 
I will take some of that Grayson by 3 TDs action.......... Never like playing at Grayson but 3 scores is way too much!

Moss is the real deal! Kid is a playmaker. D shows flashes here and there, and they repeat their efforts shown during Marshall game.

WC 42 Barren 21

Barren is better than most years, and I think this game will be close at halftime. But Dragons will pull away big 2nd half.

McCallie 28 BG 24

Streak comes to an end.

Butler 35 Grayson 7

Butler is a very good team and Grayson just isn't. I look for Butler to put together a playoff run and wreck havoc in 2A.

Edmonson 21 Metcalfe 0

Edmonson FINALLY gets a W for me. Big homecoming game too.

FS 21 BGA 20

I know nothing about BGA, but they will go for 2-points and the W, only to be stopped!

Somerset 28 Glasgow 21

Glasgow is too much of a one-man show. Trigg is good, and their FB breaks a few long ones, but lack of passing game hurts. Briar jumpers win.

Greenwood 56 Logan 7

Another L for LC.

SW 56 Hart 7

Another L for Hart.

Hoptown 35 WE 28

The Tigers run around the Raiders.

RVK 49 TCC 7

Another W for the Panthers. Looking forward to their game against Mayfield (as always).

Barren County at Warren Central - Barren has been better than I thought, but still not a challenge to WC. 42-13

Bowling Green vs McCallie School - The Purples just find ways to win close games. This week is no different. 24-21

Butler County at Grayson County - Bears showed against R-Ville they can slow down the run. 20-7

Edmonson County vs Metcalfe County - Edmonson gets back on track with a much needed Victory! 28-7

Franklin-Simpson vs Battle Ground Academy- Don't know much about BGA...hoping FS athletes get it done. 28-20

Glasgow vs Somerset - Depends which Glasgow shows up. If its the one vs Barren, they will be in trouble! 20-17

Greenwood at Logan County - Still think Duncan can turn LC around with time, but this is going to be a long year for the Cougars! 48-13

South Warren vs Hart County - Defense pitches the shutout! 41-0

Warren East at Hopkinsville - East stays on track and gets the win! 28-12

Russellville vs Todd County Central - Could be tested next week, but not this one. 48-7

I've seen them on Hudl several times this season and most of last years games. They looked much better last year. I heard they brought in a 4 star cornerback. I'm hoping he hasn't had time to get fully acclimated with the system.

Their QB isn't bad but RB Alex Trotter is their work horse. After this they got Ensworth and then an important game with a good Baylor team. Ralph Potter has said week 6-7 is when he expects them to take it to another level. Their good but they don't scare anybody BG IMO wins 28-14.

Allen County-Scottsville at Marion County 7:30 PM - think Marion county is the better team tonight. Not convinced of acs consistency.

Barren County at Warren Central 7:00 PM central in a closer game than expected. I almost went with barren on the upset. I'm just not impressed with central this year.

Bowling Green vs McCallie School, TN 7:00 PM- don't know anything about this Tennessee team but do know bowling green always finds a way to win.

Butler County at Grayson County 7:00 PM- butler is never as good as they think they are, but are good enough to beat this Grayson team. The air Raid lives on for another week.

Edmonson County vs Metcalfe County 7:00 PM- Edmonson wins one, don't like metcalfe a tradition

Franklin-Simpson vs Battle Ground Academy, TN 7:00 PM- Franklin Simpson gets better every week. Battle ground is down a little bit and fs is getting better. Franklin wins.

Glasgow vs Somerset 7:00 PM- good game, Glasgow pulls it off

Greenwood at Logan County 7:00 PM- Logan competes a little better, but they just don't have the play makers. Greenwood without a running clock until the 4th quarter

South Warren vs Hart County 7:00 PM- I don't bet against south warrens program

Warren East at Hopkinsville 7:00 PM- east pulls away if they don't turn the ball over.

Russellville vs Todd County Central (at neutral site) 3:00 PM McCracken Bowl- Russellville rolls in this one. Plenty of things to work on before the Franklin game next week.

BGA is really good. The QB is the brother of Iowa's QB. He has a lot of football savvy and he has a couple of dynamite receivers. If BGA could play Caldwell, I would go.

Glasgow vs Somerset--Glasgow is not who we thought they were but they are better than the Jumpers.

Greenwood at Logan County--Gators continue to build on their 4th quarter improvement against FS and clobber the Cougars

Logan will get better when they consolidate Logan Co Junior High. Not before.

South should be AAAA. Should have been there from the start.

Warren East at Hopkinsville--The Tigers came unglued last week. I doubt all the pieces are back in place.

The Tigers got repaired. Put 61 on the Raiders.

Russellville vs Todd County Central--Russellville hasn't faced murderer's row but they are winning. The two point win at Fort Campbell is concerning but not this week.

So if a team has a little off game on the road they automatically aren't very good.

Well they're sitting at 4-1 with only a loss to the reigning state champs, and even competed in that game. They must be doing something right..
