It may have been late, but it's better than never.

Bowling Green (Ky.) Warren East four-star linebacker Eli Brown has been selected as member of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Brown tells Kentucky Preps he got the invite on Thursday. He's also unsure of when he'll leave for San Antonio, Texas. Although he claims it will be very soon.

Tune into NBC on Jan. 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm to watch the game.

This is awesome, congrats to this young man in being recognized in the premier all star game.
Speaks well for his expected skills at the next level, and for the BG area, well done son.

He spent the week with Josh Smith OLB of Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, TN. Josh is committed to Vandy where his brother Emmanuel plays but E hates it there. Smith turned down Tennessee and had Kentucky in his final 3. Josh and Brown have become friends and hung out together a few weeks ago on a UK visit. Brown is trying to to get him to change to UK witch is a strong possibility and he's also working on Josh's teammate and close friend TE Kyle "The Smile" Oliver who's committed to Tennessee.

Side note: DE Kyle Phillips Hillsboro HS in Nashville was the star of the game. He's coached by former Hopkinsville Coach, Craig Clayton and his DC is former standout Dustin Lopez.
