2016 Campbellsville (Ky.) Taylor Co. point guard Quentin Goodin is the bona fide best prospect in his class. He's collected countless offers from some of college basketball's best schools.
Where he'll go or where he's leaning is yet to be seen or heard.
Seriously, I'm pretty close with the Goodin's and have no real clue to where he'll sign.
I mean I have some insight, like Goodin really likes Florida and Billy Donovan, his best relationship is probably with Richard Pitino and Minnesota and Louisville is pretty high up there. Though they have not offered yet Ohio State has been around for sometime. If they do offer, surely the Buckeyes will be in the mix.
Texas is a new name emerging in his recruitment. Since the hire of Shaka Smart, the Longhorns have shown an increased level of interest. Darrin Horn visited with Goodin at school Friday. The tone of the visit was gauging interest and it proved to be worthwhile since Goodin is very interested in the Longhorns, especially with Smart at the helm.
Kentucky is the only school in the state to have not yet offered Goodin. And I believe that's the one he really wants. A lot has been made out of this waiting game, but to Goodin he's not really waiting on them. It's a "if they do they'll be in consideration, if not there's plenty of others" deal.
A decision date is really still up in the air. At one time, he had wanted to make it by this summer, but has since moved from that. There's talk about doing it during the early signing period, but nothing is set in stone. Plus he's picking up new schools frequently so that may extend it a while, too.
