CJ Hayes is a Junior WR/DB for South Warren High School, nestled in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He does everything for his team and rarely comes off the field. He operates as a receiver in a read-option based offense and is called on to not only catch passes, but to carry the rock on jet sweeps and reverses, and block defensive backs down field. So far this year he has 7 touchdowns and has done an outstanding job manhandling defensive backs in order to spring ball carriers for big plays. As a defensive back, he has three interceptions this season as well as a fumble recovery. He's a heady corner. He stays home and doesn't let anyone behind him and is very smooth in getting off blocks and coming up to make plays against the run.

CJ is also a standout baseball player when he's not running through defenses or locking down the edge as a corner. He has division one size, standing 6-foot-2 inches and weighing in at a solid 195-pounds. He also runs a division one caliber 4.57 in the forty-yard dash, a time he says he is working hard to shave off a couple tenths of a second. He is only a junior and has already attended numerous camps. He comes from a great family that is very proactive in his recruitment. This is evidenced by the fact he has visited 7 division one programs this season, all on the Hayes's own dime. We here at R4Six, as well as some members of the internet recruiting industry I have spoken with, feel this hard work will soon pay off, and some major offers are not far away.

CJ is set to visit the Kentucky Wildcats this weekend, the second time this year, for their game against Tennessee. He has also been contacted by Duke about a visit this weekend, but he already had plans in motion for the trip to Kentucky. I was told that the Duke visit will definitely happen and he is very excited to get on campus. His most recent visit was to Western Kentucky, he said the visit went very well and he feels if he would have committed on the spot, then the Hilltoppers would have accepted.
