The Purples defense scored enough points last week... Will they have any trouble with the Tigers?

The Tigers come in only giving up 88 points in 13 games, with 6 shutouts this year... And an impressive win vs. DeSales.

Fern Creek has a nice record.

When you are getting ready to play Bowling Green you do not point to a 14-0 win over a 2A school as your "big win of the year" and think you're ready for that ol' Purple Freight Train.

BG steamrolled Owensboro at Rash Stadium. 41-12. At Rash Stadium.

Fern Creek beat South Oldham by ONE point. ONE.

The Creekers may have the Louisville attitude that they are headed to the outback to whip up on a bunch of country boys.

That ain't happening. BG by a bunch.

Macdon,

While I agree with you, don't diminish the win over Desales. They are back to back AA State Champions. Could be three in a row if they can somehow get by Mayfield and then NewCath/Danville winner. Desales is 39-4 the last three seasons... A win over Bowling Green would be a bigger win... but Desales is really good...

The South Oldham game was a close one, but S.O. has 10 wins as well, with a 7 point loss to Shelby County who is still playing football (at South Warren Friday)...

Bowling Green is the favorite, no doubt. But surely the Purples won't have the attitude that they can rest easy this week because Fern Creek hasn't been a big name in the football world. If they play like they did in Owensboro, they won't lose. But if they think they can play bad and win, they might be watching the game next week.

They haven't faced a team like the Purples this season. The hudl highlights of the Owensboro game are scary. Purples 35-7.
